Reading Wall Street
Title:  Reading Wall Street
Description:  A shot of the very last Reading RDC run taken from XC Tower. The Wall Street has just come off the ex-Lehigh Valley mainline line and onto the former CNJ mainline in Cranford. The B&O line to Staten Island cuts off to the right just behinf the RDC's. You can see the former B&O freight station just above the middle of the second RDC. Back then, if a towerman saw you taking picutres of the trains he would invite you up for a visit. And with the setting sun, a couple of classic name trains from the glory days of railroads became history.

Description:  In a rarely seen angle, an unidentified NJDOT GG-1 drops off Track 2 on the Northeast Corridor and begins her decent under the NEC where she will come out onto the former PRR Amboy Branch on her way to South Amboy NJ on the New York & Long Branch (a joint PRR-CNJ operation) where the G will be cut off and an E-8 will be added for the run down to Bayhead NJ. Union Tower and Rahway station can be seen in the background along with the power substation at Rahway.

Description:  A freight comes off the Lower Road from Augusta. The Rockland Branch splits off to the right. Location is under the Federal Street bridge. The Maine Eastern oeprates freight year round and passenger excursions on the Rockland Branch from Brunswick to Rockland in the summer. The ME have proposed operating passenger service connecting with the Downeaster in Brunswick up to Augusta using the Lower Road. Currently there are no trains operating on this line but one can hope for the future. It looks brighter now than it has in a long time.
